Our cooking at the Palmer House revolves around wild mushrooms which we gather ourselves and with friends. We strive to obtain locally raised ingredients in our cooking, and use organically produced greens, herbs and vegetables. Frequently we will use ingredients found in the cuisines of Mexico, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." We are also working hard to create dishes which match the glorious wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.

For dinner, enjoy seafood, steak or other tempting menu selections, all prepared with the freshest seasonal ingredients available.

Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the first-floor pub of McMenamins Hotel Oregon is an ideal rendezvous for a meal. Built-in booths, individual tables and an impressive 40-foot-long bar seat the crowds, with pretty views of Third and Evans streets through the pub's many windows.
Back in the day, when the hotel first opened around the turn of the 20th century, the restaurant was located where the Paragon Pool Room is today. Even back then, it was a place where locals and travelers gathered for a well-cooked meal.
Like the hotel's earlier menus, McMenamins offers a variety of seasonal entrees ranging from hearty, Northwest-inspired classics to homemade daily specials.

"One of the best restaurants in Oregon," gushed the Oregonian. "I've eaten a few tons of salmon over the past 10 years, but Peirano's ranks among the very finest, austere and awesome," praised the San Francisco Examiner and Chronicle.Since 1977, Nick's has served multi-course fixed meals and a la carte dishes that Gourmet Magazine said put McMinnville on the gastronomic map - for a reasonable price. Dinner might start with melon and pears with proscuitto, then move to their famous minestrone, followed by spinach and mixed greens with pancetta. The main course might be Dungeness crab and pine nut lasagna or salt-grilled salmon. Typical desserts include creme brulee, lemon ice cream, chocolate truffles and of course tiramisu.

Paulée is adjacent to the Inn at Red Hills. Chef Sean Temple has created a gathering place for our local winemakers, winery workers, locals and our out of town visitors. He has chosen to highlight the beautiful Willamette Valley wines plus wines from all over the world with our local produce and meats raised in the valley. Paulée is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (closed on Tuesday).
